The "Healthy China, with you and me" 2019 Qingdao High-tech Zone National Fitness Day and 8.8 km Healthy and Happy Run was held in Qingdao Civilian Fitness Center on August 10. A total of over 300 runners participated in the event.

Aiming to promote the development of nationwide fitness, enhance the physical quality of citizens and boost the construction of Qingdao an international fashion city, the activity kicked off at 7:30 am Saturday morning, participants starting to run from the main stadium of the fitness center in light rain.

Different from professional marathons, the happy run focuses on exploring the fun of running other than the speed or ranking, aiming to encourage more people to actively involve in physical exercise and find happiness in doing exercise.

Sponsored by the Management Committee of Qingdao High-tech Zone, the activity is an attempt to show the image of the zone and foster a fashion sports in the zone, and will play a driving role in the construction of an innovative, humanistic, ecological and dynamic new town.
